Roadrunner Surf September 23, 2008

Posted by The Secret Surfer in : Reviews , trackback

Roadrunner Surf is yet another LJ exchange with the standard 3:1 ratio and 10 second timer. Since most of what’s on offer here can be found at nearly every other LJ exchange, lets look at the differences here shall we?

Another exchange to follow in the footsteps of Paul Kinder’s Traffic-Splash, Roadrunner Surf has their own take on the ever popular surf rewards. You can win bonus credits, from 2-5 at a time every 25 sites. Nothing too special about that, but on “Super Bonus Monday” there are ten 100 credit prizes thrown into the mix.

“Power Surf Friday” comes with an increased surf ratio bringing free members up to a 2:1 and paid members up to a 1.25:1 ratio. Nice, but this too sounds awfully familiar… Henry hours anyone?

The “Weekly Rewards” are a nice touch though. Surf 300 sites in a week and win 3000 banners and 5000 text impressions. Sounds like a good attempt to encourage daily surfing, but how is the activity here anyway?

To put it bluntly, it’s a ghost town around here. You’ll see the same handful of ads in rotation over and over again, and they look suspiciously like they belong to the owner and his associates. The under promoted Roadrunner Surf appears dead in the water. Perhaps the owner has moved on to another project? In any case, no member eyes for my ads, I’m outta’ here.

Final Rating: 1 (out of possible 10)
