For the past several weeks, StartXchange has filled that position. StartXchange has been around since 2001 and currently has 50,708 members. The surfbar shows how many people are surfing and how many members there are. In your Member’s Area, you can even see who viewed your site.
Tim Linden, owner of StartXchange, specializes in PHP programming. With his computer knowledge, he can easily make changes that better this traffic exchange. Your suggestions in the Forum can easily become the next new feature.
StartXchange is free to join and has 3 levels of membership: Free Membership offers a 3:1 surf ratio and 5% earnings on referrals. Gold Membership is $6/month, offers a 2:1surf ratio, and 10% earnings on referrals. Platinum Membership is $14.95/month, offers a 1:1 surf ratio, and 20% earnings on referrals. There are random referrals given in both the upgrades. Credit ratio is 1 credit = 1 hit. There is also a 10-second page view timer.
StartXchange is one of the 5 super surfer exchanges where you can increase the value of the credits you earn by surfing them all at the same time. The other 4 traffic exchanges that make up Super Surf are: Traffic Splash, I Love Hits, Advertising Know How, and Dragon Surf.
StartXchange rewards users for being active with Activity Levels. The more you surf the higher your rank. With each level the amount of traffic increases due to increased surfing bonuses. Your surfing bonus also increases when you complete a checklist of various items.
There are many additional ways to advertise at StartXchange. You can purchase a “Prize Page” for $20. With this purchase your page will be shown every 100 pages viewed for an entire day. StartXchange also offers a “Weekly Branding” page where you purchase the first page position by making sure your page is viewed first by every surfer, every time they surf for an entire week. StartXchange also has a forum where you can advertise. You can bid to be the Forum Sponsor for the day or buy the day for $5. With this, a banner ad will be placed at the top of the Forum page.
To alleviate the boredom that can come with traffic exchanges, StartXchange is built around a community. This community starts in the Forum and continues through the site. The Forum is a good place to share ideas and experiences. Traffic teams have even been formed that compete against each other.
This is one of the most innovative traffic exchanges today.

Soren Jordansen, owner of Dragon Surf, has done an excellent job. Of all the traffic exchanges, Dragon Surf has the best eye-catching graphics hands down! It is laid out very well and efficiently organized. There are 3 levels of membership: Green Dragon (free), Silver Dragon ($5.95/mo.), and Gold Dragon ($9.95/mo.).
You can’t miss your bonuses at Dragon Surf. Every 20 pages that you surf, a cave game appears where you choose 1 of 3 caves. After making your choice, another screen comes up showing you what you have won for bonuses. These include banner impressions, text link impressions, and/or traffic credits. If you happen to get an angry dragon, you will not receive a bonus.
Dragon Surf is one of the exchanges involved in Super Surf. By Super Surfing the top 5 exchanges together, you will net a combined 50% extra credits.
If you want a traffic exchange that delivers and gives you superior results, this is by far one of the best and deserves to be in the top 5.

Since a free traffic exchange review was just done on TopTierTraffic, let’s look at Advertising Know How which was #7 last week and has slipped to #10 this week. This program is a co-registration service, an article directory, and a traffic exchange all in one.
The co-registration service is a list builder. You add your ezine description and your subscribe email. You load a specially designed thank you page URL into your autoresponder or email manager. Free members get 3 credits for every page shown. Send one subscriber to your special thank you page url and your ezine details are shown 3 times on other people’s pages.
With Advertising Know How you have the option to submit articles that you have written to be included on their site. They accept “How I did it” stories, tips and hints, instructions, and other articles that will help their audience succeed in their home-based business while promoting you.
Advertising Know How suggests that you surf the traffic exchange at least an hour per day to get the best use from it. Other advice they offer is to use a quick loading splash page for advertising your web page.
For those of you who like to Super Surf, you will find Advertising Know How is among the five traffic exchanges.

Louise Venison, the site owner, has done a fine job with the layout of this site. HitsBoosterPro is easy to navigate, has a 5:1 ratio for free members, and a 6-second page view timer.
Great incentives are given right away at signup. You will receive 1000 free credits when you surf your first 25 sites and you are given a new member Platinum upgrade for a week. Make sure you take advantage of this. If you choose not to keep the upgrade, that’s fine. The system will automatically revert you back to the free member status.

As a free member of WebBizInsider, you can earn credits in 6 different ways:

The structure of receiving bonus credits at WebBizInsider is good. Bonus credits are predictable and are added automatically, so there is no way of missing them, as you do in other traffic exchanges. Every 25 pages that you surf, you receive progressive bonus credits. The 15-second page view timer is way too long in this day and age; kind of like watching paint dry.
With nearly 142,000 members, the opportunity to earn traffic to your website is inevitable.

This free traffic exchange review will be on TrafficEra, last week’s #12 which has fallen to #13 this week.
What makes TrafficEra stand out from the crowd is the emphasis it places on Personal Value or PV. Your PV is determined by 3 different components: your surf activity, your referral activity, and your sponsoring activity. Your surf activity is based on the number of seconds you surf. Your referral activity is based on the promoting you do with the referral link that TrafficEra provides. Your sponsoring activity is based on how many new members you sponsor each week. Members with the highest PV each week can earn huge rewards, which are given as tokens.
Tokens can be earned in one of 2 ways at TrafficEra. 1) As stated above, it is based on your weekly PV ranking. 2) Surf other member’s websites to collect clocks. The first 10 clocks you collect you will receive 5 tokens; the second set of clocks you collect you receive 10 tokens. You will continue to receive 10 tokens for every ten clocks you find as long as you don’t stop surfing for more that 2 hours.
The tokens you earn can be spent in the TrafficEra Marketplace, where you can purchase anything from website credits to increased surfing ratios (for a specified amount of time). The possibilities are endless. Remember to keep an eye out for the incredible deals you can find here, which are added to the marketplace every hour of every day.
Although TrafficEra is cleverly designed and has unique tools found nowhere else, I find that results here are less than average.

At Royal Surf your attention is immediately grabbed with the impressive graphics and medieval design. It is then held by a one-of-a-kind surfing game and the quick page view timer.
Royal Surf has one of the most unique traffic exchange games you will find. Great amounts of bonus credits are awarded to those who play. During game play you complete quests in competition with other knights. A tournament is formed upon completion of the quests. Each day that you surf 50 or more sites your strength and your surf ratio increases. This is important since the quests get more challenging, and your increased strength will help to assist in the next quest. Whether you win or lose the quest, you still get bonus credits based on the amount of bronze coins you find.
Royal Surf has a dynamic surf ratio built in. The more active you are surfing, the more credits you earn for your efforts! The King has also supplied some awesome promotional splash pages, many of which can be personalized, and several banners for you to use as well.
It’s a medieval masterpiece.
